What to expect

Once you make contact with The Restorative Medicine Center, we will answer whatever questions you might have about how our clinic works, what services we offer, and try to make sure that you have all the information you need to make the decision to embark on your health journey with us.

When you schedule your initial appointment, we will send you an invitation via email to our secure Patient Portal.  Please contact our office if you have any questions about this process.  Once you have signed into the portal you will receive all of your new patient paperwork including our policies and the new patient forms.
We ask that you fill the new patient forms as soon as possible, but at the very least please be sure you have filled them out two days prior to your appointment. That gives us time to have you entered into our computer system and have the information for the doctor at the time of your appointment, avoiding any delays during your appointment time.
Initial Consultation
During your initial visit, you will spend approximately 60 minutes with your doctor, either in person or on the phone or Zoom. During this time, she will go over your new patient questionnaire with you, gathering information on the history of your illness, reviewing previous lab work done, getting a clear picture of your current symptoms, and previous treatments and therapies you have done. She will also go over the medications and supplements that you take. Your willingness to be fully open and honest during this time is very important – the more honest you can be, the better we are able to help you. Please rest assured that you would not be judged, criticized or ridiculed for anything you say to our doctors or staff.
Once the doctor feels that she has all the information she needs, she will give you her clinical impressions of your case, and how she would like to approach your specific situation. If she feels that lab work is necessary, she will outline what she would like to run and the process for doing that.

Follow-up Consultations
Follow up visits are anywhere from 2-8 weeks after the initial, depending on pending lab work. The second visit is also 60 minutes, after the first 2 visits they generally run 30 minutes long. During follow up consultations, the doctor will ask you how you have been feeling since the previous visit; how things might have changed with the treatment plan; and an outline of what symptoms are better, which are worse/ new symptoms, and which are unchanged. Please be sure to fill out your Follow up Questionnaire prior to each appointment to streamline this process.
Proper follow up is the single most important aspect of your treatment because it allows us to monitor your progress and change therapies as necessary to ensure that your progression towards health is as quick and smooth as possible. As your health improves, you will need less frequent follow-ups.  At the conclusion of your visit, you will be provided with a summary of your visit with instructions of steps to take moving forward.  This will be provided in paper form if you are in person and available on your patient portal under the visit summary tab.  These are always accessible for you to refer back to at any time.

Your appointment time is for the total time spent on you specifically.  This time includes chart time, reviewing questionnaires and test results prior to speaking to you, as well as summarizing, ordering labs and prescribing at the conclusion of your appointment.  The majority of your appointment time is spent speaking with the Doctor.
